Alaska Youth Orchestras (AYO) is currently accepting applications for the position of Music Director, with a tenure to begin in the 2025-26 Season.
This part-time, salaried position, will play a key role in defining the future of AYO. Since 1965, Alaska Youth Orchestras has been a cornerstone of youth performing arts in Southcentral Alaska. Through its three performance ensembles and after-school program, the organization reaches 500 K-12 youth every year. AYO’s flagship program, the Anchorage Youth Symphony, is a fully-symphonic ensemble drawing over 80 top-performing youth musicians from all over Anchorage.
